Nutrition, it's one of the simplest concepts, but one of the hardest parts of losing weight. If it's so simple, then why have a page dedicated to it? Well that's because it's one of the biggest downfalls to becoming healthy.
Lets face it, there's a plate of cookies sitting in front of you and your hungry. So what do you do? You eat the cookies. That's because its too convenient than getting up and making something that's healthy. It can be very easy to fall of the path to success with real life examples like this happening all the time.
So you might be saying, "Well Cody, it's only ONE cookie, or ONE handful of chips." Yes it is, but think back to the last time you ate chips or cookies. Did you stop at ONE cookie, or ONE handful of chips? If your human like me, then the answer is NO!!
"So how do change the way I eat and say no to the garbage?" Now this might sound crazy, but go through your kitchen with a big garbage bag. Gather up all the products that are bad for, and throw them away! This is the first step that will help you reach those goals of a healthy life.
The second step is to go to the grocery store and buy all new, healthy food. Now I know if your like me, these two steps might be unreasonable. So lets find a better alternative.
Say you have some junk food in your house. If you haven't eaten any of it in the past week, I'd say it's ok to throw it out. Another option could be, take the junk food to work for your co-workers to eat. The only other step with this option is not eat it yourself. The next thing is to go to the store. Now before you go to the store, make a list. Making a list can be one of the best ways to achieve your goals and stay on track, but only if you follow that list. You want to pre plan your meals for the coming week before making a list. The P90X nutrition guide or Elite Nutrition from Insanity can be some of the best places to find these healthy meals. If you aren't using either of these products, you can use the Internet. Be very careful when using the Internet, there are many sites that may have some "not so good for you" meals listed.
